In a Vase on Monday: All about that vase

I’m happy to share a new treasure I picked up recently, this beautiful vase. Earlier this month, I enjoyed a girl’s weekend trip to Fredericksburg, Texas. A small, cute town just an hour or so west of Austin. There are lots of great boutiques and shops, as well as 42 wineries tour!

We enjoyed touring the wineries, tasting the great variety of Texas wines, shopping around, and of course, catching up. We ended our trip with a Sunday brunch at the Fredericksburg Herb Farm. I absolutely have to come back here in the spring to check out their gardens. Given the freeze in November and cooler weather, there wasn’t much to look at but definitely enough to enjoy. Apologizes for the crap quality of pictures from my phone.

Fredericksburg Herb FarmWhen we sat down for our brunch, which was delicious, I instantly fell in love with these centerpieces they had on the tables.obsessedHow adorable is this glass, flower vase, twisted and holding a tube for sprigs of fresh rosemary? I was pleasantly surprised to find these available for purchase at the gift shop.

They had a few different colors but I just loved the red on the table and I just had to have it! Here he is on the center of our dining room table.xmas gift to selfIt was an early Christmas present to myself. I decided to also stick a few sprigs of rosemary in him, as at the restaurant. Continuing to find other little sprigs for him will be fun.

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend stopping by the Fredericksburg Herb Farm. Great food and service, plus an adorable garden in the back to peruse.

In a Vase on Monday: Zinnias

Although I have nothing near the gorgeous flowers that Rambling in the Garden has, to post for In a Vase on Monday, I am happy to participate.

Apologies on the picture quality. These zinnias have been a blessing in the summer months. The butterflies and hummingbirds have loved them. I planted the seeds in early spring. They have been a joy since.

These are the very few blooms that you will see in the middle of a Texas summer.

I posted the same picture yesterday but have to show it off again. Do you know how hard it is to chase a butterfly around the yard with a cheap camera? It doesn’t feel sane.
